Christine Tarquinio is a singer, songwriter and recording artist. She released her first single in 2014 and has been creating music ever since. Christine wears many hats. She is also nourishing the next generation of vocal talent as a singing teacher, a soccer mum with her family in Melbourne, Australia, all while continuing to build her life as a prolific pop singer-songwriter. She doesn’t limit her style to one genre, blending all of her influences into a unique sound that provides a platform for her personal storytelling. Tarquinio emerged in the music world in 2014 with the release her single ‘Don’t Even Try’ and has continued to put out work up to the 2023 EP ‘Silhouette’. Christine took her time for her next release, and on February 29th, 2024, she put out the single ‘All Angels’.
The song begins with emotional piano notes while angelic tones hover in the background. Christine’s voice has strength while maintaining an artistic vulnerability. The drums turn the song into a giant pop anthem while more vocal harmonies and instruments build in layers creating the beautiful sonic landscape that was produced, mixed, and mastered by Daniel Nieberg. The song’s inspiration is drawn from her role as a mother and the challenges of family life, and reaches into the profound sense of presence required to defend one’s family when it matters most, delivering a powerful and relatable narrative. Metaphors and poetic imagery swirl around while describing the feelings and the emotional atmosphere from the inside, showing a raw honesty any listener can appreciate and connect to. The chords and melodies bounce around from different tones and energies making the track an poignant journey through life and the human heart.
Christine can be described as a synthesis of Taylor Swift’s storytelling, Ed Sheeran’s acoustic charm, Coldplay’s anthemic vibe, and Muse’s mysterious allure. When you add in a dash of Gwen Stefani’s cool, Natalie Imbruglia’s vulnerability, and Jewel’s poetic grace, you are presented with Christine Tarquinio.
