James Walker is an English singer/songwriter who describes himself as “an introspective, intelligent & enthralling performer who sings songs of love, loss & healing.” He has played shows to audiences all over Europe & America, and allowed him to perform at over 120 shows in 2016 following the launch of his debut EP, ‘Modern Medicine’.
The first track off of this Debut album “English Bones” is a song called “Weathered”, an introspective and ethereal indie/folk track produced by Sam Winfield (Amber Run, Dry the River, Supergrass). The song begins with light and airy tones setting a dream like vibe until the entrance Walker’s emotional vocals. Backed up by folky guitar the song gains steam and eventually lifts off into a beautiful dramatic refrain full of vocal harmonies and haunting background tones. This is the perfect example of a song that mixes traditional acoustic music with a futuristic ghostly, almost psychedelic quality. It starts very simple and leads to a strong peak eventually settling back down to where he began.
