Jennifer Doll – “Mr. Fox”

Jennifer Doll is a 22-year-old musician from New Milford, New Jersey. She started making music two years ago and recently released her debut EP entitled “The Crystal Hours”. Fox writes and produces all of her music (unless stated otherwise). While she mainly uses GarageBand, Jennifer also plays the trumpet and guitar. One of the tracks on “The Crystal Hours” is the eclectic sounding “Mr. Fox”.

“Mr. Fox” begins with some funky percussion and drops into a shuffling beat before the vocals and other instrumentation join in. There are so many different sounds in this song, ranging from African sounding drums to different pianos and string arraignments when the chorus comes in and a bridge with horns and many other tones. The song picks up and drops rhythms, which takes the listener through different movements and keeps the song entertaining from beginning to end.
