SKRU BOI Mixtape is an experimental artist/producer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. In April 2020 he released the track “Boomers” and the accompanying video. The video was shot entirely on a Samsung Galaxy S9+.
The video begins with eerie shots of a city while the aggressive and disorienting beat hits hard. Avant-garde shots and an artistic approach show a look at a day in the life of the artist. His verses have a precise flow with laser focus, the perfect mix of laid-back swagger and high energy. He shifts around the beat with different rhyming patterns, confidently in control through every line. The music has larger than life synth tracks that give a heavenly vibe to the hard beat. Quick e- diting and a DIY style of the video gives it the raw street atmosphere of an old skate video matches the vibe of the music.
