Joe Gallagher Jr is from Charleston South Carolina and is a 20 year veteran of the music industry. Recently he has been working with LL Cool J’s Godson, Greig “OB” Session from The Hitmasterz and The Hit Cartel Records. In support of his recent album, Gallagher opened for artists like Hugo (lead singer of Tantric) and other Connecticut bands like Signs of Rosetta and Klockwize. His music has been featured on many publications including Songcast and The Alternative Review. He was even casted as an extra on the CBS show Inspectors.While no doubt staying very busy, Joe Gallagher Jr released his new album “Side Effects” and the video for the track “Thunder”
“Thunder” begins with an acoustic guitar and steadily builds into the first verse. Instantly you are drawn to Gallagher’s voice. People say he sounds like the late Scott Weiland. Laid across a hypnotic, emotional melody, some might also be described as (the also late) Gord Downie mixed with gut wrenching gravel. The song does a nice toss between euphoric rises and peaking guitar solos while still remaining smooth and calm.
