September Campbell – “Leave Me Blue”

September Campbell is a published poet, award-winning artist, and an emerging singer-songwriter from Lexington, South Carolina. September has a sound that echoes her life in the Deep South and her passion for honest lyricism resounds in each of her songs. “Oleander Blues”, one of her most notable songs, as well as many others from her self-produced album, “She Got Voodoo”, have just recently hit airwaves on radio stations ranging from the UK to Los Angeles. Her second album, tentatively titled “Memoir”, is currently in the works with the possibility of release in 2018.

“Leave Me Blue” is a beautiful acoustic track with dreamy and haunting qualities. The song opens with an acoustic guitar’s chord progression that sets a dark and mellow tone. The vocals are soft and gentile while at the same time remaining steady and strong and blended with sweet harmonies. This is the perfect song for a romantic rainy afternoon and has a comforting melody that will play through your head for days.
