Pocket Healer – “Storm Weaver”

Pocket Healer is a two-piece progressive rock band from Long Island, New York. The bass and drum duo features Ryan Patterson on bass and James Ferrara on drums. While both being members of Long Island native bands Ü Blue and Staleworth, they find the time to create something a bit more technical and chaotic. Their first single (recorded at VuDu Studios) was released on in February of 2018 and is titled “Storm Weaver”.

“Storm Weaver” begins with some dark and ominous tones before slamming right into menacing riff with an intriguing time signature and a very melodic presence. The duo’s tightness and skills are prominently on display as they create an exploding brick wall of sound, very impressive for a two-man band. The song then drops into a beautiful and emotional section that calms the mood down while still showing the insane musical chops of Patterson and Ferrara. They bring it back into the epically evil conclusion that drives the song over the top. You can listen to “Storm Weaver” and follow Pocket Healer on the links below.
