Drawn together by a shared passion for Alternative Rock, West Australian band Scarlet Drive have become a firm fixture on Perth’s live music scene. Scarlet Drive blend elements of Punk, Funk and Reggae to carve their unique Alternative Rock sound. The band released their debut single ‘Sad Robot’ in May 2017 to a fantastic reception. The single reached the impressive height of #10 on the Triple J Unearthed rock charts. Scarlet Drive are renowned locally for their incendiary live show and have gained an impressive following in their short career to date. After recording their first EP at renowned Heliport Studios on the Sunshine Coast, the band has just released the song “Ceto”
“Ceto” begins with a rhythmic and funky guitar before the island inspired beat kicks in. The vocals are cool and full of attitude and swagger. The song gains steam and is full force ahead as it gets into its upbeat and aggressive chorus. The guitar solo takes the song to a higher level before dramatically dropping off into a clean refrain led by the inventive vocals, finishing it off with an all out throw down jam. The band instrumentally blends reggae vibes with the sharpness of punk rock and a catchy pop rock chorus that is full of energy. You can listen to “Ceto” and follow Scarlet Drive on the links below.
