In February of 2021, Richard Lynch released his newest album, a collection of 12 songs written or co-written by Richard, appropriately titled “My Guitar Drips Country”.
One of the standout tracks on the album is “Supernaw” Richard’s tribute to Doug Supernaw. The melodically soothing song tells the origin story of the album’s title, “My Guitar Drips Country”, it came from a late night conversation with a country music legend. He then gives a musical biography of a Texas man who loved country music, friends, and family who got a bad hand in Reno and returned home to Texas. This is an uplifting tribute and thank you to a musician for the gift he gave the world. It is heavy with emotion but never sappy, it’s a fun celebration of a life and has all the charm and optimism of a classic country hit.
