Magic Carpets is a Barcelona based band founded in early 2017 by Tom Carter (guitar and vocals), Alessandro Valerga (drums), Edu Caballero (keyboard) and Pablo Schneidig (bass). Their signature Manchester style sound is a blend of 90’s Britpop, shoe gaze and psychedelia. One of their first singles is titled “Out Of The Window”. The band received great reception from their early live shows and quickly established them as a classic act at the Weirdo Club, totally selling out their last performance. The indie rock quartet, made up of members from different nationalities (Spain, Wales and Peru), is preparing the release of multiple singles that will shape up their first promotional album.
“Passenger Seat” Begins with the bass, guitar, keys, and drums perfectly weaving together in a seamless pattern that dips and dives with the melody. The chorus intensifies into a bigger sound while the cool and mellow vocals paint the lyrical picture on top of the music. During the verses the drums and bass are straightforward the vocals and keyboard tones are airy and wistful. The band breaks into a funky instrumental section, tightening the groove before heading into another rocking chorus. This is a stylish and meaningful track that will be stuck in your head for days.
