One of the standout tracks on “No Pressure” is the song “Oh Hey Love”. It begins with sonic, moody tones and ominous vocal melodies that bounce with the rhythm. The full sound kicks in to a tight and hard driving beat with psychedelic atmosphere and a solid groove. The vocals interchange between different catchy phrases and patterns that stylishly attach themselves to the beat from every possible angle. The sharp rap verses have the characteristics and attitude of classic hip-hop infused with emotive soul and mentally conscious lyrical content. The sound progressively grows and fills out as “Oh Hey Love” moves along with its moody swagger and dark undertones. They have the sensibility and accessories of hip-hop/trap music while instilling a presence of solid song writing and melodic structure that gives the track a deeper impact and meaning. It’s a blend of melancholy moods and funky style that gives this song its unique sound and extreme re-playability.
